Bramble Street Chapel

The Reverend Robert Burr established a non-conformist chapel at Bramble Street

The chapel is located on the outskirts of the village on the Maidstone Road towards Yalding and has been converted in to a private residence.

Reverend Robert Burr started the ministry in a local mission house before persuading a farmer to donate the land to build the chapel on. He later died in 1919 and is buried in St. Margaret’s churchyard.
