Route 18
National cycle route
National Route 18 of the National Cycle Network runs west from Canterbury, via Ashford and Tenterden, to join up with Route 21 just west of Tunbridge Wells and is signed all the way.
Route 18 is 63 miles long and is largely on road ride using country lanes, it travels through the High Weald, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with its hop gardens, oasts and orchards.
The Horsmonden section of Route 18, if travelling from Tunbridge Wells, runs along Marle Place Road, Ruck Lane crossing Lamberhurst Road, Spelmonden Road, Rectory Park Road and Small Bridge Road leaving Horsmonden at Small Bridge crossing the River Teise.
