New group for Brenchley, Curtisden Green, Goudhurst, Horsmonden, Kilndown, Lamberhurst, Matfield
The inaugural launch meeting was a resounding success with 97 enrolling to join this exciting and new venture. That means the initial membership will be over a hundred and many Interest Groups will need to divide into two parts because of the high numbers.
The monthly meetings begin at 2.30 p.m. on Wednesday, 19th Parish Hall with Albert Granville describing “ ….and so we raised the Mary Rose”. He has many a fascinating – and indiscreet – tale to tell.
The December meeting on the 17th will bring Don Dray describing “The Dancing Decades – from Ragtime to Swing” which should set the scene for the festive season.
All are welcome to the talks – visitors £2.50.
As well as the talks and Interest Groups, many outings and social events are planned including “A Guided Tour of the Pantiles” and “A Backstage Tour of the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden”.
