The Good Night – A major movie production shoots in Horsmonden
Did any one bump into Gwyneth Paltrow, Martin Freeman, Simon Pegg, Penelope Cruz or Danny DeVito when they were filming in the village?
They have been in the village filming ‘The Good Night’ and we’d particularly like to receive any snaps of the aforementioned queing at the Post Office; buying a sandwich at the Heath Stores or similar. The main location was Capel Manor where the stars stayed in their Winnebagos. Other encampments were at Basset’s Farm where the support crews were and The Sports Ground was used to film crowd scenes.
Proving that there’s nothing wrong with a little nepotism, Gwyneth Paltrow has signed on to star in her brother Jake Paltrow’s romantic comedy THE GOOD NIGHT. She’ll be joined by HITCHHIKER’S GUIDE TO THE GALAXY and THE OFFICE star Martin Freeman and SHAUN OF THE DEAD star Simon Pegg.
The film was written and being directed by Jake Paltrow and according to Variety tells the story of “a man’s search for perfection in a world where life rarely measures up to the idealized images that constantly bombard us”.
Freeman plays a former pop star who’s reduced to writing advertising jingles while dealing with a midlife crisis and that his romantic interest will have dual roles – the “real” woman and the ideal woman in his fantasies.
The film is set in New York but will be shot mostly at London’s Ealing Studios. Production is set to start November 7th with a budget of £15 million.

Synopsis
Gary Shaller is at a crossroads in his life: his job is going nowhere, his wife, Dora, drives him crazy, and he passed his thirtieth birthday four years ago.
